We woke up early to get to our flight from Minneapolis to Orlando at 7:18am. Heather was once again nice and gave us a ride to the airport on her way to work.
The flight down to Orlando was pretty enjoyable. We got upgraded to an exit row seat, where a flight attendant was sat at the window seat. We talked with her for a while about working for the airline and what her job was like.
Once we got to Orlando, we went to the rental car location to pick up our rental car. That was quite a process since we followed the signs to the rental pickup, but it turns out we needed to go into the terminal first. We dd that and got assigned a Hyundai EV of some sort. Not quite the Tesla I had envisioned. It also had the annoying “feature” of beeping everytime we started moving since it thought the charging door was opened.
We made our way to our hotel where we were able to check in early, along with another upgrade to a top floor room with a great view.

We put our stuff away and made our way back to the car to head to Disney Springs.
The drive there was good and we parked in the orange parking garage (on one end of Disney Springs). Not the best garage for entering the area. We walked around a bit looking for a place to eat. It felt like we were on the surface of the sun. There was not a good breeze and the air temp was in the mid-upper 90s with the humidity making it feel like 107 or so.
We ate at Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar, which was pretty good. We had a pretzel charcuterie, some bao buns, and some frozen virgin drink. It was all good and nice to get out of the heat for a bit.

After, we went to World of Disney and the Lego store. The Lego store had some really cool Lego like a K2-SO figure, a Sleeping Beauty Castle lego, and a Castle Neuschwanstein Lego.
We walked around Disney Springs some more and then took a bus to ?
Throughout the day, we rode the monorail loop around the Seven Seas Lagoon, and then to Epcot. We also rode the entire Skyliner line. It was a really nice time.
For dinner, we headed back to Disney Springs and ate at a southern restaurant called Homecomin’ that had good develed eggs, and a nice honey bbq wing sandwhich. We sat outside next to the big fan thing they had setup, which was really nice. The waitress was super nice and we found that she also worked at Universal Studios on the Hulk attraction. We made a note to try and see her when we were there in a couple of days.
After dinner, we headed back to the car and to the hotel since we had to leave to get to Epic Universe the next day by 8am.
